| In Zimbabwe, a local Shona saying is: "Usatuke verwendo rutsoka ndimarashe" - which means; "A passing traveller should be given the best possible hospitality, because you never know, one day you may pass through his area and expect to be treated well". Making our visitors feel welcome and at home is an important part of our tradition and culture, but all too often this is forgotten in the rush and thrust of our busy modern lifestyles. Zimhost was founded to help Zimbabweans who deal with customers and the public - be they in the hospitality business, commerce and industry or the public sector - to get back to their roots and help recreate a culture of respect and courtesy, a feeling of national pride. It is up to each and every one of us to make the effort. If Zimbabwe is to be a major player in the Southern African region, we must utilise our strengths. One of Zimbabwe's great strengths is our worldwide reputation for our friendly, hospitable people, a strength that we should capitalize and build on. ![]() |
